Omg, I didn’t cry when it happened. I was too numb, too in shock. I just cried a river. My poor beautiful Mary. My heart is literally broken. And when the clips came of her walking down the stairs to meet him at the gramophone, I had a major titanic parallel. Mary is old and asleep in her bed, but in her dreams she goes to him….she walks down the main staircase and he’s there, waiting for her with their song ‘look for the silver lining’ playing and they dance and they are together again in dreams. Actually sobbing.

Videos like this one makes me realize why I consider them one of the best romantic journeys of television. It’s interesting because while it is a work in progress… it feels they have a bit of everything in their story. S1 build the foundation and the UST was delicious, S2 cemented with heartbreak and longing and S3 is about building a life together (& some happiness, for once)… But what I noticed for the first time is that it’s a romance that it has BIG gestures and scenes (Epic, really), with moments in between of quiet and subtle. What’s the next big moment for those two on S3? I don’t know yet. But I feel we will have scenes to vie their S1 big scenes. This is how their story works.
Also, it is inarticulated… their magic is not grounded on dialogs (Although we have good lines): It’s about acting and chemistry and expressions and John Lunn’s magic and cinematography and stupid faces and feelings. They don’t say I loved you often (Although, we were Han Solo’ed), they act the words. The tragedy lies on when they don’t understand actions.
This ship is ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY and I can’t wait to see their next big moment.
